Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band have announced a short burst of British shows.
The sheer energy of a Bruce Springsteen live show is difficult to describe. Throwing himself into each and every performance, the New Jersey singer can rouse the most stubborn of audiences into a fervour.
Now the legendary singer has announced a short burst of British shows for 2012. Hooking up with the E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen will play a series of stadium and festival shows next summer.
An announcement over the weekend confirmed that Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band are due to play the Isle of Wight festival. One of the largest outdoor events of the summer season, the massive festival has grabbed a performance from one of rock’s true living legends.
Following this, Bruce Springsteen has announced a short series of outdoor shows. The New Jersey icon will open the British tour in Sunderland on June 21st, performing at the Stadium of Light.
The next day Springsteen will travel to Manchester, for a one off show at the Etihad Stadium. Finishing with a visit to London, The Boss will be one of the main attractions at this year’s Hard Rock Calling.
Taking place in Hyde Park, the massive weekend event will be dominated by the figure of Bruce Springsteen. The singer’s first visit to the capital in some time, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band are set to play Hard Rock Calling on July 14th.
Tickets for all Springsteen shows go on sale at 10am next Saturday (December 3rd).
