Bronx For Reading

Line up expands again

The line up for this year’s Reading And Leeds has expanded yet again with The Bronx, Rise Against and many added to the bill.

Held across two sites, Reading and Leeds is one of the summer’s biggest live events. Capable of attracting some of the biggest names on the planet, the festival also encourages new acts with its line up boasting some hotly tipped groups.

Reading and Leeds have already announced headliners such as Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead. Thom Yorke & Co. will only play one British festival date this summer, and with tour dates thin on the ground tickets have already sold out for both sites well in advance of the gates opening.

Further down the bill the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs will perform, fresh from the release of their new album ‘It’s Blitz’. Joining the Brooklyn trio at the weekend of mayhem are Bloc Party, Maximo Park and many more.

Now organisers have unveiled the line up for the Lock Up stage. Headliners for the stage will be Los Angeles punk rockers The Bronx, who are regarded as one of the most primal live acts on the planet.

The group have just completed the Shred Yr Face 2 tour with Fucked Up and Rolo Tomassi, and recently released their third self-titled album. The Bronx will be joined by some of the best punk and alternative acts around including America’s Rise Against, whose recent album ‘Appeal To Reason’ was a massive hit in their homeland.

Cult emo heroes Rival Schools are also set to play the stage, and will be joined by American post-hardcore heroes Thursday, who released their latest album ‘Common Existence’ through renowned label Epitaph.

Reading And Leeds is set to take place between August 28th – 30th.
