As well as working on the follow-up to ‘Do You Like Rock Music?’ and completing a soundtrack for upcoming film soundtrack ‘Man Of Aaran’, Brighton indie heroes British Sea Power have mapped a series of live dates for the Summer.
The five-piece are gearing up for the release of ‘Man Of Aaran’ – a re-release of the original 1934 flick which they were asked to supply a soundtrack for last year – which will be released on 4th May. ‘Man Of Aaron OST’ sees the band crafting cinematic instrumentals for the score, as well as a cover of Jeff Alexanders’ ‘Come Wander With Me’.
In keeping with a selection of alternative venues (past live outings include caves, forests and natural history museums) the Brighton rockers will now take their live show to Regents Park in London for a massive outdoor show in July as well as the somewhat less conventional setting of Morcambe Library the week before.
British Sea Power will also play the soundtrack for ‘Man Of Aaron’ live this Wednesday (23rd) at the British Film Institute in London – look out for a review of the album in the next issue of Clash Magazine.
