Bookhouse Boys UK Tour

London group hit the nation

Combining surf guitar, a mariachi band and twin drummers London’s Bookhouse Boys are one of the countries most unusual live experiences.

With songs to match the novelty, The Bookhouse Boys have watched as their shows get busier and the venues get larger. With a definite doo wop influence the group shrug off accusations of being retro by producing an innovative sound collage.

Equal parts Dick Dale and Ennio Morricone, The Bookhouse Boys could stroll onto a Tarantino movie tomorrow. Signed to Black Records, the group released the single ‘I Can’t Help Myself’ last November, which was picked up by radio stations across the country.

The single was swiftly followed by the band’s debut album. A wonderful mix of influences, it gained a number of reviews as critics relished the possibility of showing off how many different music genres they were aware of.

The fresh bout of dates is one of the band’s largest tours to date. Containing a massive date at London’s Bush Hall, the tour sees the Bookhouse Boys travel across the country.

The Bookhouse Boys are due to play the following dates:

April
11 Glasgow Twisted Wheel
12 Aberdeen Moshulu
13 Newcastle Cluny
14 Nottingham Bodega
15 Oxford Bullingdon Arms
16 London Bush Hall
