Bombay Bicycle Club have outlined plans for a lengthy series of headline shows in Spring 2012.
Don’t look now, but Bombay Bicycle Club are bloody massive. The band have always had a commitment to playing live, packing their stuff in the tour bus and then heading out on the road for months at a time.
Returning with their new album, the hard graft seemed to pay off. Released to positive reviews ‘A Different Kind Of Fix’ smashed into the Top Ten, marking Bombay Bicycle Club’s arrival as a commercial force.
Of course, it helps that the album contains some of their most adept material to date. Emerging from the Underage scene, ‘A Different Kind Of Fix’ is a very adult – yet still fun – take on British indie rock.
Recently completing a massive nationwide tour, it seems that each time the band head out on the road they are tackling larger and larger venues. Arranging a new tour for Spring 2012, Bombay Bicycle Club clearly see no reason to disrupt this pattern.
Announcing a number of live shows, the band have confirmed some of their largest headline appearances to date. Opening in the Cambridge Corn Exchange on April 15th, the shows continue with dates in Brighton, Wolverhampton, York and more.
Hitting Edinburgh on April 20th, the tour tackles the city’s historic Corn Exchange venue. Playing Leicester’s De Montford Hall on April 25th, the live shows come to a head with a visit to London.
Set to play Alexandra Palace on April 28th, the show is one of the biggest of the band’s career to date.
Tickets for the Spring 2012 tour are set to go on sale at 9am this Friday (October 28th). Better act quick!
