Legendary rock singer Bob Dylan is set to make a headline appearance at this year’s instalment of the Hop Farm.
Designed with the fans in mind, the Hop Farm has rapidly grown into one of the country’s most high profile festivals. Returning this summer, organisers have unveiled a line up packed with surprises.
Bob Dylan will make a return to British soil, with the seminal artist seemingly at work on a new album. Said to have a Mexican flavour, the appearance follows a hugely successful tour at the tail end of 2011.
Always unpredictable, Bob Dylan took Mark Knopfler – the guitarist behind ‘Infidels’ and more – back out on the road. Set to shift and evolve once more before the summer, Dylan’s appearance is just one of the number of new announcements.
Peter Gabriel will perform, while reformed indie legends Suede will make an appearance. The British group arguably presaged Britpop, yet stood aside from the movement with their wit and glamour.
Elsewhere, My Morning Jacket are set to perform while punk pioneer Patti Smith will grace The Hop Farm with her presence. Fresh from a reinvigorated album with Dan Auerbach, Dr John will bring the Lower 911 to Hop Farm for a guest appearance.
Scottish group Frightened Rabbit have also been confirmed to appear, while Slow Club, Tom Vek and more will drop by.
The Hop Farm runs between June 29th – July 1st. Line up:
