Blur For Glastonbury

Eavis appears to confirm appearance

Reformed Britpop legends Blur could be set for a Glastonbury performance, after Michael Eavis appeared to confirm a set by the group.

After the criticism lobbed at the event last year, Glastonbury has struck back with a series of stunning blows. A new ticket scheme was a resounding success, with the festival selling out extremely quickly.

Michael Eavis previously revealed that the festival would have four headliners for the very first time. American performer Bruce Springsteen has been confirmed as one, and The Boss could well be joined by Blur.

Asked by BBC 6Music whether Blur would play Eavis said “yeah, you can look forward to that, yeah but it’s not officially announced yet”.

“Bit more work to do on that yet but you will not be disappointed, I can assure you.”

Eavis also confirmed that Lily Allen will perform at Glastonbury, joking that “she was practically born at the festival anyway”.

Allen’s father Keith is a well known Glastonbury veteran.

Glastonbury takes place between June 26th – 28th.
