Blur Drummer’s Reunion Temporary

Dave Rowntree to pursue law career...

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has stated that he will not play with the reformed indie legends once their summertime reunion dates are wrapped up.

The sticksman told The Independent that he has been training as a barrister of late, and is currently on a work experience program for a legal firm in London.

He told the ‘paper:

“I only went along for a day but then they said I could go in once a week as work experience, just to help out around the office.

“Now I go in three times a week. Hopefully, I can go and work there when I’m finished with the Blur tour.”

Believe it or not, Rowntree is also the Labour Party candidate to run for MP for Cities of London and Westminster in the next general election. And who said drummers were dumb?

Blur will play a heap of shows this summer, including Glastonbury and T In The Park ahead of their two-day headline slots at London’s Hyde Park. Click HERE for more information.
