Blood Red Shoes For Glasto

Brighton Duo Storm Festival

Brighton two piece Blood Red Shoes are set for a busy summer, with their schedule set to include The John Peel Stage at Glastonbury, it has been announced.

The group released their self-titled debut album to a warm reception earlier this year, with 2008 containing what for the band must feel like one non-stop tour. A frenetic live act capable of out-doing a hyper-active Duracel bunny, Blood Red Shoes are sure to rock Glastonbury on the stage named in honour of one of radio broadcasting’s greatest ever figures.

This year’s Glastonbury has been dogged by controversy, with the festival taking longer to sell out than in the previous decade. The choice of headliner Jay-Z brought wrath from Oasis mainman Noel Gallagher before the event resorted to selling tickets directly through branches of HMV – despite the lengthy (and controversial) ID scheme.

Blood Red Shoes meanwhile are set to release their new single “This Is Not For You” on July 7th. Taken from their debut album, it will come with two brand new B-sides.
