Blood Red Shoes have outlined plans for a lengthy nationwide tour – including a show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
As good as they are on record – and Blood Red Shoes are very good on record – Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell really come to life onstage.
Recently returning with new album ‘In Time To Voices’, the band celebrated with an in-store on Monday (March 26th). Gearing up, Blood Red Shoes have now confirmed a typically lung-bursting stretch of live shows.
Venturing from their base in Brighton, Blood Red Shoes will open the tour with a hometown date on April 27th. Taking place in Concorde 2, the show will be followed by gigs in Portsmouth, Oxford and more.
Hitting Bristol on May 1st, the tour continues with shows in Norwich, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and more.
Shifting up to Scotland, Blood Red Shoes will venture to Aberdeen before performing at Glasgow venue King Tuts Wah Wah Hut. Ending in Nottingham, the show at the Rescue Rooms takes place on May 13th.
Looking further ahead, Blood Red Shoes have also confirmed plans for their biggest headline UK show to date. Taking place at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on October 18th, pre-sale tickets will go on sale from 9am tomorrow (March 27th).
Tickets go on general sale from 9am on Friday (March 30th).
ClashMusic recently caught up with Blood Red Shoes, finding the Brighton duo on typically combative form. A quick quote from Steven Ansell: “We put ourselves under pressure and we expect a lot from the people we work with, and we expect them to work fucking hard because we do. We want to be a big fucking band”.
“We’re not touring 150-200 days of the year to go and play at the Camden Barfly. I want to be selling out Brixton Academy. I want people to fucking notice this band.”
