According to the latest reports Bestival looks set to be draped in sunshine this weekend.
It’s been a summer to forget for festivals go-ers. Poor weather, the impact of the Olympics and high profile events entering administration have meant that the calendar has been packed with headlines to forget.
But Bestival looks set to escape all this. The Isle of Wight event has pieced together a fantastic bill with Sigur Ros, The xx and more amongst the pick of the crop.
Now it seems that Bestival will escape the British summer. According to the latest Met office reports, the Isle of Wight will bask in sunshine for the whole of the upcoming weekend.
Summer is set to return to the UK in one long blast, with the Isle of Wight gaining the best of it. Wind gusts will be minimal, while temperatures are set to peak at around 27 degrees Celsius across the weekend.
For those camping, nights are set to be long as well with temperatures dipping to 17-18 degrees Celsius.
Can’t make it down? Well, Bestival organisers are set to stream the entire event on YouTube. Rob da Bank: “I’ve been watching festivals such as Coachella and Tomorrowland on YouTube and loving the futuristic new angle on showing festivals in a different light via a medium that nearly everyone in the music and festival worlds is tuned into. We’re really pleased that Bestival is the first UK festival to go down this route”.

Bestival runs between September 7th – 9th.
