It’s here – festival season. Time for good music and questionable decisions that may effect your health and mental capacity for the rest of your life.
To spare you the time and energy of looking through the vast jungle of modern music festivals, we’ve hand picked a few of the best – all of which are showcased in this month’s Clash magazine.
With less than a month away till its start date, here’s a few words on the ever growing Benicassim festival and why this year’s should be an unforgettable one…
This Spanish music fest is a beast! Lets make no mistake. Its ranging and eclectic line-up for 2012 will cater for anyone with a group of pals.
It features the biggest stars of the indie world with the underground dance scenes most illuminated hopes and hypes. Thursday plays out in front of sets by Florence And The Machine, De La Soul, The Horrors and At The Drive-In. Friday ramps up the emotional stakes with sets from Bob Dylan, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Maccabees, whilst the Saturday will be imprinted on many a mind for a collective millennium since The Stone Roses return to Spain alongside Noel Gallagher and The Buzzcocks. If you’re still standing on Sunday then prepare for the cacophonous recitals of New Order, Agoria, The Vaccines, Maya Jane Cole and TEED.
Ping in eight days of camping, theatre, fashion, short films ad dance recitals – and you can see why its an essential summer stop.
Benicassim Festival runs from 12th – 15th July.
