ATP have confirmed that their forthcoming Jeff Mangum curated weekender will now take place in March.
A true cult hero, Jeff Mangum’s work with Neutral Milk Hotel has had an enduring influence on guitar music either side of the Atlantic. So when ATP managed to get the reclusive songwriter to curate a full weekend instalment of their festival, fans were naturally overjoyed.
Set to take place later this year, “unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances” have forced organisers to move the event to March. Jeff Magnum’s ATP event now takes place between March 9th – 11th at the same location.

Thank you very much for buying tickets for ATP curated by Jeff Mangum. We’re sorry to announce that due to a set of extremely unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances, this festival event is being postponed – the event will be rescheduled to March 9th-11th 2012 at the same location of Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead, UK.
We understand this will come as a shock and we sincerely apologise that we were not able to inform you before now – please know that we do not take this decision at all lightly. Having to reschedule an event like this is no small decision and we realise that many of you will be extremely disappointed, as are we. We try to put the community of ATP attendees first in every decision we make and hope that you will understand when we say that if the postponement was in any way avoidable, then we would not be rescheduling – disappointing the community that makes our events what they are is something we find very painful.

The move to March will undoubtedly have an effect on the line up, with ATP working hard to secure each name on the line up for the new dates. Obviously, the news will come as a blow to some with not every fans able to re-organise their plans for a March timetable.
Spin off shows had been organised including sets from Jeff Mangum, Panda Bear, Olivia Tremor Control and Thurston Moore. As things stand, ATP are attempting to secure each of these headline shows.
