The line up for the ‘All Tomorrows Parties: Fans Strike Back’ series has been announced, with tickets for the event – set to take place between the 8th and 10th May 09 – now also being made available.
The event will be curated exclusively by the fans and ATP organisers, as opposed to the normal structure of an established artist choosing their favorite bands to play alongside them. The acts chosen will include influential kitsch art-rockers Devo, as well as Spiritualized, Grails and doom-metallers Sleep. The show will take place at the usual site, at Butlins Holiday Center in Minehead.
As recently reported on Clashmusic, The Breeders are also set to curate their own ATP, which will see Teenage Fanclub, Bon Iver, Holy Fuck and many more appearing. Tickets are available below.
Update! The organizers of ATP: Fans Strike Back have announced that Welsh post punk legends Young Marble Giants have been added to the bill. The band reformed earlier this year, and are set to perform their classic album ‘Colossal Youth’. Formed in Cardiff, far away from the punk bluster of London, Young Marble Giants’ music seemed to come from somewhere entirely unknown, yet wonderfully enticing. Joining them on the bill will be Anti Pop Consortium.
Meanwhile The Breeders have been busy expanding the bill for their ATP event, with New York anti folk star Kimya Dawson joining the fun.
