American psych-punk outlaws Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti have confirmed a new European tour.
Ariel Pink has been a fixture on the American underground rock circuit for years. Making his own demo tapes, the singer’s scratchy psych-punk was lo-fi almost to the point of being un-listenable.
Releasing a lengthy string of albums, Ariel Pink recently formed a new group with a much more linear mindset. Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti have pushed the singer to greater prominence, though fans of sludgy sound have been left dismayed.
Well, you can’t win ’em all! Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti released their debut album earlier this year, with ‘Before Today’ becoming a surprising success. Given warm reviews the singer has managed to break out of his obscure fanbase, playing shows across the globe.
Returning to the States for the festival season, Ariel Pink has just confirmed a host of European tour dates. Booked to support The Flaming Lips on their Stateside tour, the singer will then travel abroad.
Flying to Europe for a show at Oslo’s Oya festival on August 11th, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti will hit Britain shortly afterwards.
The American mavericks are due to play a one off London show on November 1st. Taking place at the Garage, the set will follow a lengthy tour of mainland Europe taking in Scandinavia, Germany and France.
