Electronic music icon Aphex Twin has been added to the line up of this summer’s RockNess festival.

Richard D James is one of the most pioneering, thought provoking, influential producers Britain has ever produced. Nestled away in Cornwall, the electronic genius the bulk of his teen years experimenting with homemade technology.

After claiming to have dreamt of his songs, albums such as ‘Selected Ambient Works 1985-1992’ enshrined Aphex Twin as one of the star’s of the emerging Warp label.

More than a decade of ground breaking music later, Aphex Twin stands as an almost peerless futurist. With live shows rare than hen’s teeth, the Warp icon has agreed to headline the Clash Arena at this year’s RockNess festival.

Joining a bill brimming with talent, Aphex Twin’s once in a lifetime live show will reverberate around the dramatic setting. With the waters of Loch Ness splashing against the Main Stage, the monster had better put its ear plugs in.

Meanwhile, Howard Marks is set to run a comedy stage at the festival. Named ‘Howard’s End’ the stage will boast the best in up and coming stand up talent from Scotland and beyond.

Kevin Bridges is due to drop by, having recently announced his biggest UK tour to date. Scott Agnew is also set to raise the roof, with Howard Marks set to introduce the varied guest stars.

Tickets for the festival are selling out fast, with RockNess boasting several stunning exclusives on the bill. Of course, ClashMusic will be there in force so even if you miss out on tickets you’ll be able to get a flavour of the event.

RockNess is set to take place between June 11th – 13th.
