“I Never Went South”, a unique showcase for the music and arts scene in Iceland, has confirmed that it will go ahead in 2008.
Established by artist Mugison, the event is a small scale boutique festival that has previously enticed Sigor Ros and Gruff Rhys to play stripped down sets. Based in the artist’s hometown of Isafjorour, the line up has yet to be finalised but will feature local idols such as Bob Justman, Hjaltalin and SSSol.
Set in one of Iceland’s most unorthoox settings, this two-day free festival is a very special reminder of the unusual array of musical talent operating within the country.
“I Never Went South” takes place between March 21st and 22nd.
