Aidan Moffat and Bill Wells have announced a handful of Scottish dates.
Matching superb lyricism with a series of thoughtful arrangements, Aidan Moffat and Bill Wells' collaboration 'Everything's Getting Older' was one of 2011's most beautiful releases. Since then, the pair have taken their music around the country, playing some special shows in the process. Now Aidan Moffat and Bill Wells have confirmed plans for a new batch of dates taking place later this year.
Alas, the pair won't be venturing south of the Border but for Scottish fans these are a must see. Taking a five piece band to the Ian Rankin curated Aberfeldy festival, Aidan Moffat and Bill Wells will then play six intimate shows across Scotland. Support comes from Irish songwriter Adrian Crowley, whose work is also well worth tracking down.
Tantalisingly, a message from Aidan Moffat includes a few hints that new material is on the way. "We’re also planning some new music around this time but plans are yet to be confirmed" the songwriter explained. "I do know that there’s at least one brilliant remix already and another one on the way – also by someone brilliant, naturally – and we’re going into the studio soon to see what happens."
Aidan Moffat and Bill Wells are set to play the following shows:
November
7 Glasgow Cottiers
22 Stirling Tolbooth
23 Perth Twa Tams
24 Edinburgh Pleasance Theatre
25 Dunfermline PJ Molloys
26 Aberdeen The Lemon Tree
