Africa Express Line Up Expands

Maximo Park, Gruff Rhys and more...

The line up for Africa Express has expanded, with Maximo Park, Gruff Rhys and more set to take part.

Uniting African and Western musicians – on a train, no less – Africa Express promises to be one of the year’s most unusual tours. The line up for the event is continually expanding, and the latest announcement contains some special names.

Maximo Park are to hop on board Africa Express, with Wels songwriter Gruff Rhys, broadcasting legend Gilles Peterson, Romeo Stodart (The Magic Numbers) and more deciding to take part.

Thriving on collaboration, the project has already confirmed the involvement of several big hitters. Damon Albarn is a long term supporter, and the songwriter has agreed to take part in the tour.

Joining the Blur frontman will be several African icons, with m.anifest, Amadou & Maria, Baaba Maal and more taking part.
