Soulful Brit Adele is set to resume her British tour after recovering from a chest infection.
It’s been a long wait for fans. Scheduled to play a full British tour, Adele came down with a heavy cold shortly after the shows began. Suffering from a chest infection, the singer battled to get well.
Sadly, though, the cancellations began to mount up. Forced to sit out the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize, interviews with Adele revealed that her voice was far too weak to stand up to a full show.
Working with doctors, it seems that Adele is now well enough to resume her nationwide tour. A statement from the singer’s camp reads as follows:

Adele is pleased to announce her UK Tour is back on, with her first date now being Tuesday September 13th in Leicester. She had previously been suffering form a severe chest infection, forcing her to postpone a number of dates.
The postponed shows will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity and all original tickets will remain valid. Refunds will be available from the point of purchase.

The remaining dates on the tour contain some high profile shows. Opening tonight (September 13th) in Leicester’s De Montford Hall the remaining dates include a two night stand in Manchester.
Set to play the city’s Apollo venue, Adele will then focus on London having announced shows in Hammersmith Apollo and the Royal Albert Hall.
Ending in Glasgow, Adele will play the O2 Academy on September 25th. Tickets for all venues are sold out.
