One of the most vital forces in British music, 6Music is the station of choice to countless fans.
Now 6Music is set to launch its own festival. Held at he Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, the event takes place on February 28th and March 1st, boasting all manner of new and established acts.
Perhaps the pick of the first batch of names confirmed for the BBC Radio 6 Music festival is Metronomy, whose eagerly awaited new album is set to emerge later this year.
Elsewhere, HAIM have been confirmed to perform, while revered Brooklyn group The National will also take part.
6Music are planning to unveil the bill in its entirety today (January 21st) with fans encouraged to piece together the line up via news bulletins on the station.

Ticket go on sale at 12 noon this Friday (January 24th).
BBC Radio 6 Music Festival runs between February 28th – March 1st.

The line up has now expanded: Drenge, James Blake, Luke Sital Singh, Nick Mulvey, Jimi Goodwin, Bombay Bicycle Club, Wild Beasts, Franz Ferdinand, Jagwar Ma and Midlake are all due to perform at the BBC Radio 6 music festival.
