It’s harder than ever to break into the music industry.
Everyone and their mum is in a band, with their uncle taking care of remix duties. Competition is immense, which is why it’s nice to get a leg up on the ladder of success.
ClashMusic has teamed up with Xbox to offer one group of unknowns a very special opportunity. Brighton group The Maccabees are set to play London’s Village Underground venue on April 29th – and you could be supporting them!
The Maccabees are riding the crest of a wave right now. Their hugely ambitious second album ‘Wall Of Arms’ bowled over critics and won the hearts of music fans across the nation.
Recently teaming up with Roots Manuva, the band are completely open to new ideas and have agreed to judge this very special competition. The winning entry will get to support the group at the exclusive and intimate Xbox Reverb show at Village Underground in London
Taking place at venues across the country, Xbox Reverb lets fans collaborate with the bands to co-curate a series of gigs, tailor made by the Reverb community. For its next show Reverb is set to give a completely unknown new act a unique chance to support The Maccabees.
Entry is free, with acts requested to upload no more than 3 of their best tracks to SoundCloud – for the luddites amongst you, please feel free to keep it old skool and post in your demo to the address listed below.
A specially trained team of Xbox volunteers will sift through the demos, creating an ultra-limited shortlist.
The Maccabees themselves will pick the final winner, and remember – their judgment is final.
