Long time friends Stereo Skateboards and WeSC this season have confirmed their mutual appreciation with a sprawling collaborative collection of tees, sweats and shirts.
The Californian x Swedish hook up follows several years of brand participation courtesy of Stereo Skateboards founders Jason Lee and Chris Pastras (via their WeActivists status), which came about after Chris discovered Stockholm’s finest, today declaring: “It didn’t look anything like traditional ‘skate’ clothing, it was really stylish high end stuff.”
Now working with the Swedes, Pastras says of the new collection: “It’s clean and simple, and a nod back to the 20+ year history of Stereo. The tees are a combination of some classic images of myself and Jason Lee shot by our friend Tobin Yelland, along with some of Clint Peterson’s artwork.”
“Tobin shot us during the early Stereo days (’92-’94) and had a hand in our first video ‘A Visual Sound’, so when the idea came about to use archive images, it only made sense we involved someone who was there in the beginning,” he adds.
The range features caps, beanies and chinos but is predominantly comprised of tops, with shirts featuring Peterson’s designs and the aforementioned tees marked with the men’s imagery; a slick palette of black, grey, white and orange consumes the line.
