Week four of four, and we reach our final (completely) free download from London proggy-pop alt-folk hip-pop sextet The Laurel Collective. Y’know, it’s easier just to describe them as Very Good.
Which is precisely what they were when Clash caught the London-based outfit at the first night of their residency at the Wilmington Arms – a packed room lapped up the band’s quirk-laden experimental material, as accessible on the surface as it is head-scratching just an inch below.
Our downloads have all been taken from the band’s new ‘Fax Of Death’ EP, of which only a handful of physical copies (fifteen!) have been made – soon, there’ll be a competition on ClashMusic.com to WIN a copy, which comes complete with a ticket to the band’s own mini-festival, In The Woods. It promises to be a winner, and the release ain’t bad either.
Even if the idea of holding music doesn’t appeal, you can still get the ‘Fax Of Death’ tracks exclusively from ClashMusic.com – the title track can be downloaded below, and follow the links for further songs.

The Laurel Collective return to the Wilmington Arms on July 2, with support from the amazing Micachu & The Shapes. We recommend you attend. Find the band on MySpace for more information.
