Hasse: Cigarettes [all agree]. Over here in London it’s way more expensive to buy cigarettes than in Denmark.
Soren: My mobile phone is number one.
Hasse: Our old rusted tour car that we bought in Denmark
Thomas: Our GPS!
Rune: Yeah, the most important thing is making sure we don’t get lost on tour. And our self-esteem. After you drive 15 hours in a van it’s pretty low.
Entertainment
Rune: We love films, we watch a lot of pay per view in hotels. We get inspiration for music from films, like Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
Daniel: And adult films. In our last hotel room, we bought 24 hours worth of movies and one of the adult movies was called Mohammed’s Filthy Kebab. We get so bored in hotels.
Cuisine
Hasse: We’ve had fish and chips for a week now. We can’t get them in Denmark, so it’s a delicacy for us.
It’s easier to cope with a hangover when you’re drunk.
I noticed you all have words tattooed on your arms, what are they?
Rune: It’s my surname and my birth year. Soren got his surname tattooed 4 days ago. Hasse, Thomas and I had our names tattooed in Texas last year. It’s a family pride thing.
So how old is everybody?
Soren: 29
Daniel: 23
Thomas: 23
Rune: 27
Hasse: 20
20? So you’re the baby! [They all laugh uproariously]
Hasse: The very, very cute baby.
So Soren is the granddaddy?
Hasse: He’s the fucked up guy who drinks all night and actually I’m the one with the brains. Daniel and Thomas are ok but these two guys [pointing to Rune and Soren], they’re the fucked up ones of the band.
That’s actually my next question- what does each member bring to the band?
Hasse: Actually, it’s developing right now I think. Thomas and Soren wrote all of the songs for the first album but of course we arranged it together. But Daniel has started writing songs and doing the music. So hopefully it will be more of a collaborative thing.
When did you write the material for your album?
Thomas: I started writing the songs 2 and a half years ago, so they’re pretty…old.
Who is this Tracy that keeps popping up in songs?
Thomas: It’s a made up name for my old girlfriend, I called her Tracy in the songs so she wouldn’t get upset.
Do most of your songs draw from personal experiences?
Thomas: Almost all off my songs are about Tracy.
Have you got a new Tracy to write about?
Thomas: Yeah. My relationship with Tracy was…hectic, the one now is more calm – she does what I say!
Have you had any strange experiences with groupies?
Daniel: We had a fan in Toronto who tried to break into our hotel room.
Hasse: The American girl.
Soren: She was wearing hot pants.
Hasse: I don’t know how she got in.
Rune: We let her in.
Daniel: At first she came into our hotel room to say hello, and then she found out we were in a band, then she left the room and came back with a new outfit on. Then she wanted to take a shower, and to fill every hole on her body. She was so fucking mad.
Hasse: In the end we had to pull her out!
So who’s the worst drunk?
Hasse: [points at Rune] This guy is definitely, he wakes up in the morning and drinks.
Rune: It helps to drink first thing, makes everything look better. I drink all the time, it’s not that I have to, but I enjoy being drunk. It keeps me honest. It’s easier to cope with a hangover when you’re drunk.
Hasse: Soren’s pretty bad, he fell asleep in a bar yesterday morning and Rune bought a bottle of champagne for £50 for breakfast!
Who gets the most groupies chasing them?
Rune: That would be Soren
Soren: Daniel is pretty bad as well.
Hasse: Every time we are loading the gear we’re like “Where’s Soren? Oh he’s talking to some girls.”
What’s the best thing about being a rock star?
Hasse: Playing shows, driving around on the road, all these crazy things that happen along the way.
Daniel: Meeting nice people like you!
Oh shucks.
Hasse: Doing interviews, the whole thing its fantastic. We love it.

Hasse: There is really nothing to do in our hometown, it is very, very boring.
Rune: I have nothing to say about that.
Soren: What about top five girls?
Hasse: Positions!
Ok, top five anything! [Soren confirms his ladies man status by asking me to write my name at number two, after his poor girlfriend Linda Wilson. He giggles mischievously as he writes.]
Soren: How do you spell Minogue?
Hasse: He’s still drunk
[Daniel shakes his head.]
Are you embarrassed?
Daniel: Me? No I’m used to this I’m just not looking forward to driving 15 hours sitting next to it!
