The Fireman – ‘Nothing Too Much Just Out Of Sight’

From Issue 32's covermount cd

The Fireman consists of two guys.

One is Sir Paul McCartney of The Beatles and well, you know, pretty much defining modern music. The other is Martin ‘Youth’ Glover, one time Killing Joke bassist turned celebrated producer who has worked with acts such as The Verve, Guns ‘N’ Roses, U2, The Orb and more. The project focuses on electronic, experimental forms and makes good use of the anonymity their moniker affords them. ‘Electric Arguments’ is also different as it features much more conventional song based structures and, again a first for The Fireman, the vocals of McCartney. The new album confidently walks a fine line between their trademark sounds and vibrant, eclectic experimentation.

The Fireman’s ‘Electric Arguments’ album is out on November 24th. Read Clash’s review of it here.
