Sweet Female Attitude Pick Out Some Killer UKG Tracks

Well, summer is on the way...

Sweet Female Attitude released one of the defining singles of the UK garage era, with 'Flowers' sailing to number two in the charts.

Blessed with that fantastic, soulful vocal and the skippy rhythm, 'Flowers' remains a perennial spin across the country, a timeless piece of club culture that almost transcends genre.

With summer well on its way the Clash team have been digging out their UKG playlists, spinning everything from 2-step to unruly speed garage in the process.

Sweet Female Attitude are back just in time, with their addictive singles ‘The Way’ and ‘Own Me’ stamping out a 21st century template.

Clash invited vocalist Leanne Brown to show us how it's done by picking out some fantastic UK garage tracks…

Kele Le Roc – 'Things We Do'

The heavy bass paired with such a sweet melody makes a wonderful contrast.

– – –

MJ Cole & Elizabeth Troy – 'Sincere'

This timeless classic with sultry tones and atmospheric coolness is just so impacting.

– – –

Foor ft Effie – 'These Three Words'

A fresh vibe which covers all bases from a radio friendly feel to being a club banger.

– – –

Bad Habit – 'Fool’s Love'

This is just so well produced – clean sounds which sit perfectly against the vocals.

– – –

Shift K3y – 'Touch'

I will never tire of this song – everything that I like in a tune is there.

– – –

Champion ft Prima – 'Weekend'

Really chilled vibe with a nice little bit of bass.

Danny Blaze x Sweet Female Attitude – 'One' (Soulecta Mix)

A shameless plug I know, but this tune has everyone singing it from the second chorus even if they’ve never heard it before.
