Boys Noize is Alex Riddha. A German DJ with an obsession for taking our indie disco hits and making them too trendy for our pitiful dancing abilities. Credit to this man that many of us are now pale, trembling messes littering nightclub floors up and down the country, after failing to keep up with the velocity of his Bloc Party and Justice remixes.
For the past five years a dance revival has been spearheaded in the UK by acts like Justice, Soulwax and LCD Soundsystem, and resulted in maximum exposure to new dance acts like Boys Noize. Four years ago the industrious Riddha created his own platform to spread his tracks via ‘Boys Noize Records’, his personal label. Fast forward to present time and Boys Noize can boast three albums and a label showcasing some of the best new electronic bands on the scene. Shadow Dancer, Siriusmo, Puzique and The Faint are all promising products of Boys Noize Records.
November will see the release of a double CD compilation dedicated to ongoing success of Riddha’s successful label. It will feature the releases from the hottest talent within the franchise as well as some of Boys Noize own tracks. Let us prepare for more bodypumping, and its consequent effects on our knees.
