If recent debut EP 'Reactivate' for Nightwave's Heka Trax imprint is anything to go by, Spanish DJ and producer Blastto's kaleidoscopic, rave-slanted take on club music deserves some serious shine this year.
Now living in London, his boisterous, no-frills sound references classic rave via bass, grime, house and everything else in between, while visually, it manifests itself in the neon lights and hazy, smoked-out dance floors of the early 90s.
Slicing through a raft of tracks from the likes of Tsunga, Monotronique, label-mate Big Dope P alongside some of his own club material, Blastto's SIGNAL Mix packs some serious weight.
