Earlier this year music industry bigwigs decided on one, global release day.
So, from now on important releases will all emerge on Friday, with each territory syncing into each other.
The most obvious aspect of this change? Well, the Clash Singles Column has been forced to switch from its traditional Monday slot to Friday PM.
First up: Bridlington lads Seafret, whose rapturous folk-pop has been steadily gaining momentum over the past 12 months. Huge fans of new music, the pair kindly agreed to kick off the first ever Friday edition of the Clash Singles Column.

Andy Grammer – 'Honey, I'm Good'
If you put our songs through an opposite mood machine, they would come out like this. A song that celebrates love alongside a moving music video, it's no wonder that the track has had so many YouTube hits.

Dappy – '100 (Built For This)'
N Dubz will always remind of those school disco days. Good old Dappy! He's been around for years and is still going for it, so good on him for banging out the classics.

Grades – 'King'
The girl in the video is a total badass! This is one of those tracks you hear and you know instantly that it's going to be hammered in every club this summer. Total banger.

Jeremih ft. Flo Rida – 'Tonight Belongs To U'
We hadn't heard of Jeremih before you sent us the tracks over – it's got a good vibe to it and I like his voice but it's not getting stuck in my head. Just had a look at his other videos and he seems right at home surrounded by beautiful women; fair play to these guys.

Maverick Sabre – 'Walk Into The Sun'
A voice that's emotive yet smooth on the ear. I'm a big fan of seeing gospel choirs and brass sections in videos so this ticks my boxes. Also, handclaps, you can't beat handclaps when it comes to making you feel happy.

Otto Knows – 'Next To Me'
At the start this reminds me of Kodaline, who we toured with earlier this year. Then boom, the strings kick in and it's an Avicii dance floor filler!

Sage The Gemini ft. Nick Jonas – 'Good Thing'
When I watch videos like this I think I'm making the wrong genre of music! I wonder if we could recreate this in Bridlington? Harry looks fantastic in a white suit so we're halfway there.

Trevor Sensor – 'The Reaper Man'
Do we get to vote for our favourite track? This is definitely it. Bob Dylan is an obvious reference and there's something of Rodriquez in there too. Would love to jam with this guy, he'd better be coming to the UK soon.
