Rock music isn't something which happens in isolation – it's something which is delivered in flesh and blood.
Band Of Skulls must have this etched on the front of their tour bus. Returning with amped up second album 'Sweet Sour' earlier this year, the three piece hit the road and they're in no mood to stop just yet.
Recently kicking off another British tour, the band are set to play some of the largest headline shows of their career. Culminating with a performance at London's historic rock hangout Brixton Academy, the dates find Band Of Skulls ending the year on a high.
To coincide, we asked the group for a playlist. Here's what they sent back…

We have recently finished a 6 week tour around America and Canada where we had a few shows supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers, a couple of festivals and our own headlining shows. We got to hear quite a few bands so here's some tracks from our trip.
Ponderosa – Get A Gun
Ponderosa supported us recently and they consistently impressed me every night. Really great song arrangements, harmonies and top guys to hang with. I strongly recommend you check out their new album Pool Party.
The Whigs – Waiting
Another band we have played with in America, they have just released their fourth album Enjoy The Company and this track is the latest single. A really energetic three piece rock band who are mesmerising to watch live.
Friends – Friend Crush
We have had this tune on our pre show playlist for a while, and have shared the stage with them at a couple of festivals in Australia and Belgium. This track has a cool groove to it and I love her vocal delivery.
White Lung – Take The Mirror
We saw these guys play at an aftershow during Rifflandia festival in Victoria Canada and they got the whole place fighting, it was vicious, then the whiskey came out and the rest is blurry.
Dreamers Dose – She Is Good
This band supported us in L.A at The Fonda Theatre. Good players, (it seems to run in the family, one of the members is Jakob Dylan's son) big live grungy rock sound and produced recently by Alain Johannes.
