Playlist: Amine Edge & DANCE Pick Hip Hop

Breakthrough production duo craft a playlist...

Innovators behind the so-called G-House sound, Amine Edge & DANCE have spent 2014 entertaining dancefloors around the globe.

The year in which the duo truly came of age, the production team were able to craft their first ever Essential Mix in addition to regular forays at the top of the Beatport charts.

Hip hop sits at the centre-ground amongst the pair’s influences. With the year drawing to a close, Clash invited Amine Edge & DANCE to pick some of their recent favourites.

King Chip – 'Walking Home'
The beat is so slow, so dark. This track just give you a angry mood and make you wanna go out and fight a random guy, haha!

– – –

Travis Scott – 'Don't Play' (ft. Big Sean and The 1975)
Because Travis Scott is just amazing. We had to chose just one track but we would playlist the whole album if we could.

OG Maco – 'You Guessed It'
First time we listened to this track it was like a big shock. When the bass drop at the same moment he scream "bitch you gessed it" it's so unexpected. This track is unreal. We are addicted.

Schoolboy Q – 'The Purge' (ft. Tyler, The Creator & Kurupt)
It's all about the beat – the weird synth which sounds like an alarm is so good. Kurupt's verse is next level though.

– – –

Slum Village – 'Things We Do'
Black Milk is such an amazing producer, the beat is so tough. The groove is perfect and obviously T3 & Elzhi killed that shit up. Elzhi is one of the best rappers of all time.

– – –

ILOVEMAKONNEN – 'Tuesday' (ft. Drake)
We love Metro Boomin, he's a really creative producer and the way who sing Makonnen is so funny and emotional. Drake killed it as always too.

– – –

A Tribe Called Quest – 'Find My Way'
It was hard to pick only one track from them, because we love their whole discography, but this one can rock the dancefloor everywhere in the world. Q-Tip is an amazing producer, too.

– – –

Mobb Deep – 'Animal Instinct'
Same for the infamous Mobb Deep. It was hard to pick just one song but 'Hell On Earth' is our favorite album by them. It's the first track. So good.

– – –

Bishop Lamont – 'Grow Up'
The beat made by Focus is so emotional and the guitar riff is one of the best ever. The beat is so groovy. The flow of Bishop is always good and in this track he show us that he can storytell as Raekwon.

– – –

Majid Jordan – 'Hold Tight'
We know it´s not hip hop but they are everything. Don't need to say one more word.

Amine Edge & DANCE's new compilation 'Brazil's Finest' is out now.
