With soft lighting, retro wooden panels and an inviting neon sign, Nixon’s London debut is a welcome addition to the Carnaby area.
The new store – the brand’s second in Europe, following a Paris appointment just last month – boasts one part clothing and accessories, one part watches and a third workshop area, where unique timepieces will be created right in front of you; a bit like one of those flashy noodle places but with a greater outcome.
“London is amazing,” says co-founder Chad DiNenna of the Nixon newbie, “It has always held an influential position in shaping a point of view when it comes to fashion, music, culture, design and style.”
“The opportunity in opening the Carnaby space allows Nixon to be an active participant in contributing to the field of world-class design through our perspective, our brand and products,” he concludes.
Founded in California in 1998, the brand today makes “the little shit better” (according to its socials), hence the attention to detail in its own shops; the selection of watches – presented almost as an installation – and the authentic custom space with a wall of metal clipboards, signs and tools.
