Ten years and two months after the DUNKLE made its debut appearance, Nike and James Lavelle have paired up again, this time with Lavelle’s Mo’Wax proposition at the forefront.
Produced with the idea of ‘Build and Destroy’ in mind – defined by James as to “make something and build it up, then move on to something new” – a capsule collection lands at NikeLab stores tomorrow, available to buy from 1948 London in Shoreditch.
Translating the musical collage approach first adopted by record label Mo’Wax in 1992, the range sees Nike and Lavelle rearrange the brand’s more traditional silhouettes, hence the leather and wool MA1 Destroyer Jacket is given flight jacket details by way of nylon shoulders and a bright orange lining.
Removable twill patches with graffiti esc embroidery go some way to defining the collection’s aesthetic – in contrast to the brand's otherwise sports-tech focused approach – represented both on the jacket and an accompanying cap.
Elsewhere the Blazer boasts similar military inspired details – note the colours and the textiles – while naturally a tee completes the line.
