The dots that connect Nixon, Lomography and surfing aren’t instantly apparent, but regardless, the initial two this week will hook up to present an exhibition of photos behind the scenes of the latter.
22 years after the Lomography Society International was founded, the analogue specialists sent out models including the Lomography New Petzval Lens, LOMO LC-A+, LOMO LC-Wide, Belair X 6-12, La Sardina and Fisheye cameras to a select group of surfers and photographers participating in the Nixon Surf Challenge in Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia.
The resulting exhibition, which opens tomorrow and runs until 14th August, showcases over 30 of the finest end results. Meanwhile here a short video displays what went down, out of the frame.
A launch party tomorrow night will have music from Swim Mountain plus the chance to win a Lomo camera or a Nixon watch.
