Listening back to their material, you are often struck by the sheer consistency of Sam Beam’s work. Chained to the studio, the songwriter rarely – if ever – puts a foot wrong, crafting engaging nuggets of Americana.
Returning earlier this year with their new album ‘Kiss Each Other Clean’ Iron & Wine were on typically gripping form. Playing sporadic live dates throughout 2011, the band recently confirmed a two night stand in London.
Taking to the stage at the Hackney Empire followed by the Shepherds Bush Empire, Iron & Wine promised something very special for the capital.
