Appearing in the latest issue of Clash chatting with his hero, Vince Clark of Yazoo, Andrew Butler of Hercules and Love Affair has enjoyed quite a ride thanks to his debut album.
With guest appearances from Antony Hegarty, Nomi and Kim Ann Foxman, his self titled debut was released on 10th March on DFA Records, co-produced by label boss Tim Goldsworthy.
Clash reviewed the album and noted, “It’s not big and it’s not clever, but Hercules & Love Affair is stupidly funky and ludicrously cool. This is a dancefloor monster for the most discerning of discos.”
