MK
Touring tales from the revered producer...

MK - Marc Kinchen - is one of the most revered remixers in the game.

A deft interpreter of other artist's material, his golden touch can find renewed space in the most familiar of tracks.

His own material is reaching higher and higher levels of appreciation, with new single 'Back & Forth' delivering a house smash.

Crafted alongside Jonas Blue and Becky Hill, it's a surging piece of club-ready electronics delivered with a pop dazzle.

On the flip MK delivers his own dub take on 'Back & Forth', applying some low end pressure for a more system-centric workout.

Out now, it's accompanied by a typically lung-bursting series of international shows, with MK taking his sound to the masses.

Here, Clash catches up with the man they call Marc Kinchen to find out his touring tales...

Best Trip…

If I’m being totally honest it’s going home, it’s the best every time!

Worst Trip…

Leaving home, especially when it’s been too short of a stay… I do have a few horror stories, but they are too gruesome haha!

Favourite foreign venue…

That’s a tough one, but I really do like Hi in Ibiza, I had a great time playing with Solardo there as a surprise last summer.

I’m surprisingly popular in…

Mexico City and Budapest - I am really happy about it and pleasantly surprised!

Best or worst exotic foodstuff…

Anything that is burger shaped in the Ibiza Airport could be iffy and exotic.

Most interesting individual you've met on the road…

I met a contortionist in Australia last year, which was both weird and interesting.

Worst on-tour injury, or infection, or accident…

Worst stomach infection ever, from food poisoning in Miami! It was so bad I could not eat anything for days and I had to play with a bucket in the booth in case I felt sick. (I even had a back up DJ standing behind me ready to take over...)

My essential travel item…

My electricity converters, all my electronics and can’t go without my buddy’s moisturising lotion line - it’s like magic and it’s great for all those long trips with stale airplane oxygen. It seems to suck all the moisture out of your skin.

My essential travel tip…

Don’t put your electronics in the pocket of the seat, inevitably you will forget it and watch out for the side of the seats - they eat phones!
