Sunderland post-punk types The Futureheads have teamed up with ClashMusic to offer you an exclusive first glimpse of their new album!

Emerging from the North East with a clutch of indie rock anthems, The Futureheads seemed like the perfect pop proposition. Armed with a certain Kate Bush cover, the band always took on board esoteric influences.

After their second album 'News And Tributes' was released the band began to chafe against the strains of record label life. Arranging their escape The Futureheads have since been rejuvenated on their own Nul Records imprint.

Releasing third album 'This Is Not The World' last year, the band stunned fans by a return to their upfront pop roots. Touring the nation to growing acclaim, The Futureheads seemed to be on the form of their life.

Returning to the studio for a quick fire follow up, The Futureheads are set to release their new album next year. New track 'Struck Dumb' is available from December 3rd, a blast of pop-punk energy that brings its IQ along for the ride.

However ClashMusic have managed to wangle a wee exclusive for fans. By clicking below you can claim a FREE copy of 'Struck Dumb' but be warned - this is for a strictly limited, one week only period!

Finally, The Futureheads are set to play a special festive show at London's Lexington venue on December 14th. Tickets go on general sale from Friday (November 27th) but fans who download the new track can get access from tomorrow!
