Fashion Round Up: 21/02

Clash plays catch up with the week’s most fashionable headlines (or something to that effect).

At Sunday’s London Fashion Week presentation it was confirmed, Mulberry is set to release a range of bags designed my model Cara Delevingne.

The British label is currently without a Creative Director, following Emma Hill’s departure last September, hence instead of a full catwalk show the presentation saw Cara parade around a room, joined by two ginger male models, dogs, and the three bags she has designed.

Ahead of the designer’s show at the Tate Modern – also part of London Fashion Week – a new collaboration between Ashish and Topshop was announced on Tuesday.

Released in May, it will “embody the world of camera facing celebrities on holiday, relaxing and partying” and marks 10 years of the pair hooking up.

Footwear from the line – Buffalo boots with light up platforms – were worn during the AW14 show.

Lastly, Richard Nicoll has been appointed Creative Director for Jack Wills; a surprise for much of the industry when it was announced on Wednesday, not least due to the contrast between his clean collections and the preppy aesthetic of the latter..

Alongside his mainline men’s and womenwear, Nicoll will work with the brand on a part time basis; his first collection will be SS15.
