Fashion Round Up: 17/10

Clash plays catch up.

This week Issa lost its creative director, as Blue Farrier stepped down from the label.

Farrier had been at Issa since 2013, appointed by the label’s chairwoman Camilla Al Fayed as part of a redefinition of the brand.

The one time Chlöe designer showed on schedule at London Fashion Week twice with Issa, in collections that have been greeted with much interest from the industry, providing a contrasting point of view from that which the label held formerly.

Elsewhere Vauxhall this week attempted to pull off a stunt similar to last year’s Katy England directional debut (here), as James Brown shot Abbey Clancy to celebrate the brand’s new model.

With a focus again on clothes – Clancy is styled by the late Corinne Day’s former muse, Tara St Hill – the video sees faux band The Vauxhalls getting ready, rehearsing and then driving to a gig.

You can watch it here.

Finally, stills were released this week of Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell’s debut Gogglebox appearance.

Taking part in Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer comedy event – on screens this evening – the supermodels star alongside Noel Gallagher as they watch TV, replicating the programme in which viewers watch other people watching TV.

The clip has been of much excitement since it was announced, and is likely to follow the success of Moss’s former charity gigs with Nick Grimshaw (reading aloud 50 Shades of Grey), and Little Britain (in which she dressed up as Vicky Pollard’s sister).
