Fashion Round Up: 12/09

Clash plays catch up.

While the first official images didn’t hit screens until yesterday, on Sunday Rihanna was spotted out and about in a full Alexander Wang x H&M look.

The collection – first announced in April (see here) – doesn’t launch in-store until 6th November, but on Thursday Alexander Wang presented a three-look preview, shot by photographer Gregory Harris.

The initial pieces are primarily black and grey, and continue the heavy ‘Wang’ branding for which the designer has become known.

The first of many, last night saw Oscar perform at Paul Smith’s Beak Street store, while the rest of September promises to follow suit; the brand this week confirmed a series of gigs around the world.

Split between London, Milan, Paris and New York, artists such as Fryars, Kele and Singtank have all signed up to play live.

Smith  is known for his close associations with the industry; last year the Floral Street store hosted a pop-up record shop while more irregular gigs have taken place previously.

Finally, Whistles is the latest fashion week brand to offer customers catwalk pieces immediately.

Presenting its SS15 womenswear collection in London tomorrow, the brand this week announced the release of its favoured Portland rucksack in an exclusive new colourway, available from 6pm, co-insiding with the label’s presentation start time.

Another bag, the Rivington Pouch, will also be available in an exclusive nude shade.
