A fortnight before the label unveils its SS15 fashions, on Monday Meadham Kirchhoff part-realised the dreams of numerous fans, putting out a casting call across social media.
Known for their willingness to cast non-models in their fashion week shows, the advertised flyer assured wannabe Cara’s, ‘Typical model looks not required’. A second followed, advising that portfolios, heels and a specific height requirement wouldn’t be necessary either.
The casting takes place next Saturday – 13th September – in Haggerston from midday.

The Selfridges exterior meanwhile, welcomed a new addition this week in the form of a giant Rick Owens statue.
Part of the store’s AW14 creative project, ‘The Masters’ – in which Paul Smith and Jean Paul Gaultier also feature – an in-store shop cum exhibition space, The World of Rick Owens features exclusive products and a unique light and sound installation.
“Selfridges are introducing us to an entirely new audience, which is lovely,” the designer comments in an accompanying video (here). A re-release of ‘The World of Rick Owens’ book will be available as part of the offering, with Owen signing copies at Selfridges on the 13th September.

Lastly, Topshop confirmed their latest designer collaboration yesterday, tweeting of a special project with Marques ‘ Almeida.
The label’s Marta and Paulo follow designers such as Simone Rocha, J.W.Anderson and most recently Ashish, each who’ve produced capsule collections for the high street powerhouse in the past.
Set to launch on the 9th October, initial images suggest denim (naturally), as well as several more colourful pieces, referencing the label’s SS14 collection.
