Hockey: pretty much So Hot Right Now, and with their single ‘Too Fake’ in stores virtual and real life right now, the Portland, Oregon band’s assault on the UK is beginning in earnest.
The swaggering dance-rock foursome have already entertained crowds across these isles of ours on a tour alongside the similarly hype-tastic Passion Pit, and while their influences are worn fairly broadly upon their sleeves, attracting comparisons to the likes of LCD Soundsystem AND The Strokes is no bad thing.
With a domestic long-play debut on the horizon, and a festival campaign brewing that’s sure to see them become bona-fide live favourites this side of the pond, Hockey are building their buzz the right way – this isn’t style with no substance, that’s for sure.
