Emma Brewin: Modern Fur

Presenting a world of glamour and nostalgia.

Given that Alexa and co are besotted with her Shrimps label, it’s hardly surprising that Hannah Weiland is basically synonymous with faux fur in 2015. But she’s not the only one.

Enter Emma Brewin, a(nother) young blonde thing producing animal friendly products, she can already boast Iggy Azalea as a fan, with her garms recently making an appearance on the rapper’s Instagram account.

“It’s a wonderful feeling to watch people stepping into my coats,” she states online, key phrase here being ‘stepping into’; while Weiland’s shapes have been thinned and cropped since her 2014 debut, Brewin’s silhouette is XXL, less slight levels of fuzz, more actual yeti.

Creating, as she puts it, “a world of glamour and nostalgia,” the debut Emma Brewin Fur video (above) sees Profile models Dylana and Yazmin playing dress up to Première Classe’s ‘Poupèe Flash’ in a retro styled house, gold bedspread and model tiger included.

“I wanted my collection to capture the innocence and imagination of little girls dressing up, hence the huge silhouette,” offers Brewin of the ocean coloured furs. As per her word, the sheer volume of Emma’s pieces ensure anyone hoping to adorn themselves in one will experience internal Benjami Button vibes.
