See me, right, I’m a pretty big fan of Lovvers, so I’m dead excited about the news that the foursome – old-school punk of the very best kind, soaked in fuzz and sharp of hooks – are releasing the follow-up to last year’s ‘THINK’ mini-album later this year.
‘OCD Go Go Go Girls’ is said album – a 12-tracker released on August 10 via Wichita – and it’ll be preceded by the single ‘OCD Go Go Girls’, which some Clash readers may have heard aired on our second Diesel U:Music Radio show on Friday (June 17). The show will be available to hear on ClashMusic.com soon; right now we’ve got the first of our shows HERE.
The album was recorded in Portland, Oregon alongside Pat Kearns (Exploding Hearts, Red Dons), and the end result is oh so good. Expect more words on it in the near future.
Right now, though, you can get a taste of what’s to come with a FREE DOWNLOAD TRACK. ‘AXTXTXIXTXUXDXE’ is track eight of 12, and it sounds a lot like what’s below…
‘OCD Go Go Girls’ – the first single proper – is released on August 3. See Lovvers live…
