Nottingham isn’t renowned as a hotbed for new music.
The UK’s gun capital (copyright – every tabloid ever) the city is better known for depressing crime rates. However the area has produced its fair share of new talent, with more acts emerging over the past few years.
The latest in this lineage are Dog Is Dead. The buoyant newcomers recently fired up the tour bus for their first ever nationwide trip, and took a camera along to record the nitty gritty details.
Along the way, Dog Is Dead storm numerous venues and become the first Nottingham band to sell out their hometown venue Rescue Rooms.

March 3rd – Manchester Castle – Lawrence’s easy method of disposing of deceased audience members.
March 4th – Darlington Kong – Dog Is Dead sampling the local cuisine.
March 5th – Nottingham Rescue Rooms – first Nottingham band to sell out Rescue Rooms ever! There was a stage invasion at the end of Glockenspiel Song and we lost a load of our equipment.
March 8th – London Bull & Gate – Sound check vibes at our first London headline show.
March 9th – London Village Underground (Comic Relief Event ‘A Night At The Sack Races’) – As well as playing a show, Trev and Joss took part in a most excellent and successful sack race. Where they lost horribly to Roll Deep.
March 10th – Bristol Thekla (attached – although quality is not great) – Joss and Paul living the rock and roll lifestyle.
March 12th – Cambridge University – Trev tried to get Dog Is Dead to do a dub-reggae set but has to settle for wearing his bandana.
March 13th – Brighton Hope – Joss and Lawrence meet the fans in Brighton.
