Culture Clash Extra – Vivian Girls

The NYC punks on their fave things...

Cacophonous melodic punks Vivian Girls are heading back to these isles of ours later this month for a series of club shows and festival dates.

Vivian Girls – ‘Tell The World’

– – –

Movie
The Wedding Singer. I never get sick of watching this movie.

Book
I just read Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates – it was wonderful. I cried so much at the end.

Album
Wavves’ self-titled is an album I’ve been listening to a lot of lately.

Track
‘Night Creature’ by Woods. It’s really haunting and beautiful.

Television show or series
Friends, always.

Exhibition
Cinders Gallery in Brooklyn always has really rad shows up. They mostly feature outsider/DIY artists.

Holiday destination
California.

Gig venue
The Bottletree Cafe in Birmingham, Alabama. This venue is cool, well-decorated, very hospitable to the bands, and has great sound.

Live band or DJ
We just played with the Black Lips and they are sooo good live!
