One of the most versatile cross-genre selectors and producers around at the moment provides this week’s exclusive Clash mix – Baobinga. Producer, DJ and owner of Build Recordings, Baobinga is rapidly and skilfully carving out an enviable reputation for himself through a sound rooted in the fundamentals of UK dance music – jungle, techno and garage, all delivered with a heavy emphasis on soundsystem vibes.
This exclusive mix for Clash contains a number of upcoming Build releases – the collaborations with Hyetal, Mensah and Scratcha DVA in particular, and also includes some tracks that will eventually surface on a major Build project due next year. There are also unreleased dubs from artists such as Terror Danjah, Damage, Untold and Roska, classics from Youngstar, Die and Remarc, and unreleased Baobinga & I.D. productions with vocalists Rubi Dan and Rider Shafique.
