Over on our Clash Facebook page, we’ve developed a lovely little community of friends. They ‘like’ things, they post things, sometimes they leave comments beneath articles about Adele saying “More like Amy Steakhouse :)”. Although we may not always agree, we like having them there. So, we’ve compiled a brand new free mp3 album, ‘The Download Dozen’, for Facebook followers only. It’s brimming with fresh tracks from established artists (Magnetic Man, Florence & The Machine), to the creamiest of new excitements (Trophy Wife, Mimas).
If you’re not already following Clash on Facebook just click on the link below, then click ‘like’ and your download link will appear before your very eyes like a cheeky cyber phantom (below the Clash image).

Who’s who?
Morning Parade – Under The Stars (Get People remix)
Mesmerising Essex shoegazers tipped to be the stars of 2011. Get People have diluted the rock crescendos and crashing drums into a soothing synth soundscape, to the point that you’ll forget ‘Under The Stars’ is even on.
Cloud Control – The Rolling Stones
Cloud Control are the new sound of Sydney, striking a tone somewhere between the warmth of Fleetwood Mac and tropicality of ‘Oxford Comma’.
Mumdance feat Esser – Battle (Wookie cover)
The silver fox of dance music, Diplo, makes few mistakes. He’s just signed Mumdance, and we should take this as a harbinger. On this track, Mumdance provides the brooding afrobeat rhythms, and Esser chimes in with vocals.
Florence & The Machine – Heavy In Your Arms (C-Berg remix)
Florence needs nay’ introduction, and neither does her Machine. Operating the machinery on this one is guest remixer C-Berg, who isolates the full force of Florence’s emotional wails in a sea of bass and twinkling melody.
Trophy Wife – Microlite (acoustic)
Described as “ambitionless office disco”, Trophy Wife are here to be cherished. Away from basic acoustic, this is more unplugged, as strings percussion and guitar all contribute to the enduring slice of fragile, intelligent indie-pop that is ‘Microlite’.
Houses – Soak It Up
These two are a mysterious, anti-fame USA duo with faultless hazy bliss-pop coming from every creative orifice.
Mimas – La Moustache Formidable
Danish post-indie-rock with a definitive sense of the upbeat, and favourable leanings towards Modest Mouse.
Gypsy & The Cat – The Piper’s Song (Aeroplane tape remix)
This promising Australian duo relish in soaring choruses and retro vibes, all embedded within this feel-good foundation of dreamy pop.
Weekend – Coma Summer
An oblivion of drums, guitars and distant vocals compile this marvellous fuzzy explosion of post-punk that would not look lost on the Horrors second album.
Magnetic Man – Perfect Stranger (Steve Angello remix)
The second single from the dubstep dons eagerly anticipated debut album has been rewired by electro-house veteran Steve Angello. Featuring up-and-coming UK sensation Katy B on vocals.
Donovans – Housequake
Waltzing synths and pumping bass in this track from electronic tastemakers; Cheap Thrills’ newest addition.
Anika – Yang Yang
Promosing Berlin artist, Anika, covers a Yoko Ono classic, whilst adding layers of reggae, punk and a healthy dose of trash..
